Inspiré par un simple geste du quotidien, ici, le geste est l’oeuvre. Ce geste d'enlever, nous renvoie l'image d'un moment où l’on retire la peau d’un fruit, et nous montre à la fois un processus de la création sculpturale orienté vers la disparition. C’est un geste de destruction qui fait l’oeuvre. De son début à sa fin, sa forme change, jusqu'à épuisement de la matière. La seule trace qui reste n'est autre que des morceaux d’argile accrochés au couteau et à la main.
Inspired by a simple everyday gesture, here the gesture is the work. This gesture of removing sends us back the image of a moment when the fruit’s skin is removed, and shows us both a process of sculptural creation oriented towards disappearance. It is a gesture of destruction that does the work. From its beginning to its end, its form changes, until the material is exhausted. The only trace that remains are pieces of clay hanging on the knife and in the hand.
